These rules and policies apply to ALL members.
- Group events on a Club boat are considered as joint charters of all members participating. All members must conform to all Club rules and policies during these events.
- FUEL: Fuel is NOT included in club membership. Fuel is available at the Monroe Harbour Marina or contribute to the fuel kitty.
- Equipment and Supplies: Each boat is equipped differently. A call to the office will usually yield the details.
- Boats are equipped with 5 adult life vests and one Type IV throwable cushion. Please bring one for each additional person and all Children.
- Cancellations:
- NON HOLIDAY Periods – Monday thru Friday, single day reservations may be canceled anytime prior to sail. Saturday and Sunday reservations must be canceled before Friday.
- HOLIDAY Periods. – Single day reservations must be canceled before the last Club office work day prior to the holiday period.
- NO SHOWS – FUN Maritme Academy reserves the right to cancel a reservation if member does not call or show within 60 minutes of reservation time slot.
- Well mannered and cared for Pets are welcome.
- PLEASE CLEAN THE BOAT INSIDE AND OUTSIDE. A cleaning charge of $25.00 will be charged if the boat is left unclean.
- Porta Potti use: If you use it, empty it or pay $25.00 cleanup fee.
- NO ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES ARE PERMITTED ON CLUB BOATS! Club members are responsible for their conduct and that of their guests. If any law enforcement agency finds illegal substances on a Club boat that results in the seizure of the vessel, the club member will be responsible for all expenses incurred, including lost income to the boat while not available for charter. In addition, the member will be asked to leave the Club, with no recourse!
- The following are NOT considered covered losses per incident unless covered by insurance:
- Repair to boat, hull, engine, rigging or equipment from damage caused by a member or their guests.
- Repair to Sail (each sail is considered a separate loss)
- Repair to the property of others. –
- Liability claims (per claim)
- The following are NOT considered covered losses per incident:
- Any loss resulting from fraudulent or illegal use of the boat or its equipment.
- Boat owners when using their own boats for non-club related activities.
- Charters to non members
- Towing charges resulting from grounding or fouling anchor lines. The owner pays towing for mechanical failure.
